About GLORIA VIDYA KENDRAM E.M SCHOOL

Gloria Vidya Kendram E M School was established by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Visakhapatnam in the year 2006 in collaboration with the government in imparting education to the people of the area.

The School is built on a plot of land measuring 3.20 Acers owned by the Diocese. In the beginning it was started in a single block with 65 students, gradually another 3 blocks built with ground, first & second floors, having a plinth area 3187.23 Sq.Mtrs.It have a well furnished classrooms, computer and science labs, auditorium ,stage and a big playground having an area of 10000 Sq.mtrs .

Trained Post graduate and graduates are appointed to impart education effectively and mould the children. Dedicated services of the teachers under the able administration and perfect management paved the way for the improvement of the institution. Now the school has about 900 students studying from nursery to tenth class .Five batches of tenth class students have already gone out with cent percentage result. The school is recognized by the Govt. of A.P and is following the S.S.C syllabus. Knowing the need of the area and the request of the parents the school is in the process of affiliation to the council for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE).

As a catholic educational institution the school aims not only for the intellectual development of the students but also give priority for the moral values and formation of character and make them the true citizens of India. Abacus and Vedic math’s are also part of school curriculum. Extracurricular activities like dance ,music, karate ,elocution ,essay writing ,painting and drawing are conducted to bring out the hidden talents of the children .Special coaching is given for sports and games .Students excel in G.K ,science, math’s and other talent test conducted by different organization.
